Triathlon 101

REGISTER FOR TRI 101

We love helping people get ready for their first triathlon! Whether it's your first time tackling the swim + bike + run or you just need a refresher because it's been a while -TRI 101 is the program to get you ready!
Our awesome coach Mike, is a multi-time Ironman finisher and has been coaching our Tri 101 program for many years.  He will inspire you and encourage you to work through the three sport disciplines. 

Kickoff Meeting:  Tuesday June 4th 6PM at Fleet Feet Winston-Salem
First group practice:  Tuesday June 11th 6PM at Fleet Feet Winston-Salem
Practices: Tuesdays 6PM & Saturdays 8AM
Swim Clinic Dates: June 15, June 29, July 13
Bike Ride Dates: June 18, June 25, July 2, July 16
Course Preview:  July 20

The program will provide you with several swim, bike and run clinics.  Swim clinics will be held at Clemmons West Pool.  Ken's Bike Shop will lead our bike rides and Mike and team will help guide you through the runs.  Then, Mike will help you piece it all together with a transition clinic and course preview. 

Registration fee:  $150
This fee does not include the race fee for Smiley's Triathlon.
Smiley Triathlon was started several years ago in honor of our friend Richard Smiley who died from a cancerous brain tumor.  

Clemmons West is also offering an open swim opportunity if you need a place to train.  $40 month ($80 total for June and July).  You are permitted to swim during open swim hours at your own risk.
